Tessera is a physical wedding portrait created live by artist Allan Levy, using photographs contributed by your guests. It combines a shared experience at your reception with a finished artwork for your home.
A portrait made from your people
Your chosen photograph becomes the larger image. Look closely and the mosaic reveals the smaller photographs within it: familiar faces, earlier memories and moments from the wedding itself. The people celebrating with you become part of the artwork.
How guests take part
Guests scan a QR code and upload photographs from their phones. Twelve photographs come together on each 6 × 4 inch physical tile. Allan creates and places the tiles as the portrait gradually emerges.
Guests can gather around the growing mosaic and find the photographs they shared. You and your guests can enjoy the wedding while Allan builds the artwork.

From your reception to your home
The finished mosaic receives a gloss resin finish and an aluminium frame, with fittings ready for hanging. Both editions include a personal film that reveals the photographs and memories within your portrait.
The artwork is delivered within approximately two weeks of your wedding. See sizes and inclusions to compare the two editions.
Planning a wedding mosaic
Tessera Edition is £2,750 for 80 × 60 cm. Tessera Grande is £3,750 for 120 × 80 cm. Both include one-day attendance and travel within 50 miles of LE16 9EL. Additional mileage is charged at 50p per mile; international weddings are by arrangement.
